Program Description:
AGEC 4280: Food and Farm Culture in France

Our France program, Food and Farm Culture (AGEC 4280), now in its 32nd year, is our signature study abroad program. This month-long program is offered in France next June (in English) with our French partner school ESA. The focus of this program is the sustainable agricultural systems in France, including the concepts of “terroir” and the geographic origins. The trip includes a few days in Paris and side trips to the castles of the Loire valley and the Normandy D-day beaches. If you have never been overseas before, this is a perfect opportunity to get your feet wet.  Also check out our promotional board in the east hallway, second floor, Ag C for some photos from this years’ phenomenal trip.

Spring enrollment in AGEC 4890 (1 credit), is strongly recommended as preparation for the class.

Dates: May 30 - June 30, 2018
Cost: $2500 (does not include RT airfare, UW tuition, $140 study abroad fee, $75 international insurance)
