Kaitlyn is a recent graduate of the University of Wyoming with degrees in Spanish and Religious Studies; during her time as a student, she studied abroad twice. She studied for one semester at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain with AIFS and taught English for one summer in Quito, Ecuador with Kaya Responsible Travel. As a first generation, low-income college graduate, Kaitlyn has a lot of experience in applying for education abroad scholarships and fundraising in creative ways. Outside of Spain and Ecuador she has travelled to Canada, England, Italy, Morocco, and the Canary Islands.
When she is not traveling, advising students, and taking classes, Kaitlyn enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and buying books (leaving her wallet a bit lighter but her heart much fuller). Some of her favorite things include Harry Potter, dachshunds, and a good cup of coffee.
She is excited to meet you and join you in your education abroad journey!
"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." – Walt Disney
Students should only request an appointment with an advisor after first viewing the Virtual Information Session, completing the assessment, and filling out the "What Are Your Plans?" questionnaire. These can be done by clicking on a study abroad program of interest and choosing "Request Advising" or "Apply Now."
Meet with Kaitlyn if you are interested in studying abroad in programs in:
Central or South America
Kaitlyn is also the advisor for the National Student Exchange (NSE), for students interested in participating in Service-Learning programs and for College of Education students interested in participating in the COST student teaching program.
Each advisor has the regions they advise for listed on their page. For general advising, or if you are unsure of who to meet with, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be directed to the appropriate advisor.
